A maximum of 6 credits can be transferred from an uncompleted MS program from an accredited university that is not part of the State University System. From an uncompleted MS degree from within the SUS, the credits transferred can be no more than 12.

A maximum of 6 credits can be transferred from an uncompleted PhD program from an accredited university that is not part of the State University System. From an uncompleted PhD degree from within the SUS, the credits transferred can be no more than 30. Consult the Graduate Program Director for the exact number of credits that can be transferred.

If you have completed an MS degree in the PhD field of study for which you are applying, a maximum of 30 credits may be transferred. No thesis credits will be transferred, however. For a completed MS degree outside the PhD field of study, consult the Graduate Program Director for the exact number of credits that can be transferred.
