The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering (MME) at FIU offers an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and graduate degrees in mechanical engineering and materials science and engineering. These fields play a critical role in addressing challenges related to space exploration, sustainable energy, national defense and transportation.
Students are prepared to become leaders in science, engineering, academia, industry and public service. They are equipped with the skills to identify, analyze and solve complex problems within and across scientific and engineering fields.
