• Fabrication of layered nonlinear crystals for optoelectronic and quantum information science and engineering (QISE)
• Porous Nanomaterials for environmental, catalyst, gas storage, and heat exchange applications

2. Additively Manufactured Electronics (AME)
3. Cancer research: Intracellular biomacromolecules (DNA, RNA, and proteins) delivery nanodevice for biological systems
4. Plant-based Nanomaterials: Functionalization, Mechanics of Nanomaterial-Reinforced Nanocomposites and Nanobiotechnology Applications
5. Nanomedicine, Biomaterials, Bioimaging, and Scaffolds for Tissue Engineering
